What time do the doors open? What time do the bands start?

The doors open at 4pm.  The Blues Society of Omaha BluesEd Kids Bands start at 4:30pm.  The opening band starts

at 6pm.

Are food and drink available for purchase?
Yes. Your support of our vendors helps keep the admission to the shows FREE of charge. Several local vendors provide family-friendly food and a variety of beverages at a reasonable cost.

Can we bring in our own food and beverage?
No. Coolers, picnic baskets, outside food and beverages are NOT allowed. In addition to local vendors, non-profit charitable organizations, such as St. Cecilia School Activities Booster Club, and the Blues Society of Omaha sell concessions and receive a portion of the proceeds for their participation.

Is seating provided?
No. Attendees are encouraged to bring folding chairs or blankets.

What other articles should we bring?
We encourage you to bring sunscreen, sunglasses, hats and/or visors.  Omaha Food Bank volunteers will be at the gates accepting a freewill donation of $3 to $5 per person.

Is free parking available?
Yes. Park & Ride for FREE thanks to our special sponsor, McDonald's.  Park at the Gallup Campus located 1.25 miles north of the concert site. Kids ride free. The McDonald's-sponsored bus shuttles fans from Gallup to the Lewis & Clark Landing. The Gallup lot is closed to non-shuttle riders.

Are there Playing With Fire items for sale?
Yes. A commemorative t-shirt will be available for sale.

In addition, the Blues Society of Omaha will sell raffle tickets to win a guitar from Russo's Music. The lucky winner and one guest will be invited backstage to have the guitar signed by that evening's performers. All the proceeds from the raffle will go to the Blues Society of Omaha BluesEd youth artist development program for instruments, lessons, and travel.

Are there special hotel packages available?
Yes. The Hilton Hotel, located in downtown Omaha at 10th & Cass, within walking distance of Lewis and Clark Landing, has a special Playing With Fire package available. It includes an overnight stay in a luxurious guestroom, overnight parking, breakfast for two at Liberty Tavern Restaurant, and Deep Blue, a blues music CD produced by the Blues Society of Omaha, which contains tracks by local talented blues musicians.  Use the package reservation code P3 when making your Hilton Omaha reservations directly at 402.998.3400.   Room and rates are based on availability.

Is there a special concert after-party?

Yes. The place to go immediately following the concert is the AfterBurn Jam at the Hilton's Liberty Tavern.  The Blues Society All-Stars band will be playing from 11pm-1am. Surprise guests often join in.
